Tottenham Court Road Station London

Location: London, UK

Practice: Hawkins Brown

Budget: £1b

Completion: Part complete 2015

Modernisation and reconfiguration of existing Tottenham Court Road underground station in London.

Due to its location as a gateway to London's West End, Tottenham Court Road is one of London's busiest underground stations and it is due to get even busier as the proposed Crossrail development opens in 2018.

Keeping the station operational whilst improving the existing tunnels, passages and platforms was the biggest challenge of the project of an already complex project.

I working alongside an associate and architect, as well as the wider engineering team. I assisted in delivering the tender package, drawings, reports and documentation for the station.
