LECTURING
My lecturing/tutoring experience spans between working in Manchester School of Architecture, Leeds School of Architecture and the University of NSW Sydney. I have bought both on the BA and MArch courses. I am currently the 3rd Year Leader on the Interior Architecture and Design in the LSA (acting).
As a unit leader to Masters students I ran a design studio with a theoretical agenda. The role entailed the development of brief and theoretical stance, extensive lesson planning and marking criteria, as well as other administrative work. The design studio aimed to breakdown student’s myopic views of design in the urban environment and encouraged them to explore new design ideas and concepts through theoretical study and explorations.
I have been a co-lecturer of Co-existence in Theory atelier. Teaching students about different design approaches, developing their thinking skills through both, the importance of theory as well as technical development. The role involved advising and mentoring students including lesson planning, organising site visits and interventions in order to expand the students practical understanding.
